Christian Boivin, also known as Kris Kinokewin, has been immersed in music since early childhood. Since 2007, he has performed professionally, both solo and with groups, within the Quebec Indigenous music scene. With his brothers, he founded the group Kinokewin in the 2000s.

After an album and numerous collaborations, Kris launched his solo career in 2015 with Nehirowisiw, before making a strong comeback in 2025 with Pe Kiwan, an album produced by David Robert, with recording by Francis Perron (Studio Radicart), Roger Cloutier and Dan Lemay (Productions Va-Nu-Pieds), mixing and mastering by Sébastien Cloutier (Studio Banzai), photography and graphic design by Sylvain Robert and Yoan Robert (Studio-R), and art direction by Patrick Boivin, David Robert, and Christian Boivin, under the Manito Productions banner – 2025.
