This year, she launches a new instrumental EP in collaboration with Musique Nomade and Popop: Freak of Nature, giving rise to a new show, combining experimental, indie-rock and a Dreamweaver, revisited, skillfully soaked in sad pop, cyberpunk and experimental sacred music.

Dan-Georges Mckenzie is an Innu singer-songwriter from the community of Uashat mak Mani-Utenam, on the North Shore.
Noticed in 2019 by Musique Nomade, he created his first song, Nishim, dedicated to his twin brother. Produced remotely, in full confinement with Musique Nomade team (Simon Walls and Sylvaine Arnaud) and in collaboration with Makusham studio, he will launch his first EP in the winter of 2022. In his luminous folk-pop songs, Dan talks about resilience , love and family. On stage, he has an undeniable charisma, he has the art of bringing the crowd together, loves to entertain people and he will certainly make you want to sing in Innu-aimun.

Wendat
Eadsé, meaning “my good friend” in Wendat, is a Wendat singer-songwriter. She explores the sounds of soulful pop. Inheriting the legacy of her ancestors, it was her grandfather, from the wolf clan and raven family, who guided her towards music. Since then, she has created works that are both touching and powerful, with strength and tenderness. Her song Oné-Onti, written in honor of former Wendake Grand Chief Max Gros-Louis, has been listened to over three million times on online listening platforms. This year, we were able to see her on our screens, at the blind auditions for the TV show La Voix.

Kanen comes from the Innu community of Uashat mak Mani-Utenam on the North Shore, in Quebec.
She is part of the Nikamu Mamuitun collective with whom she walks the stages of Quebec, then releases her first mini-EP in September 2019. The artist reveals her sensitive, introspective and imbued with sweetness. On stage, accompanied by her two ukuleles, she gives us a show that takes its time, which swings between poignant songs and funny and offbeat interventions. A favorite with the public and the jury, she won a dozen prizes in the semi-finals of the 24th edition of the Francouvertes. Kanen is creating a first album and we hear it this year on the new song Sailors, a wonderful collaboration with the artist Matiu.

Laura Niquay presents Waska Matisiwin (Circle of Life), a sensitive and grandiose work that reveals her folk-grunge universe better than ever.

From childhood nurtured by the sounds of her family's classical guitars, in the small community of Wemotaci in Mauricie, Laura in turn grabbed a guitar to compose her own songs. She stands out with her incomparable voice and by singing in her native language: Atikamekw. On stage, with 6 musicians, the show is festive and makes us experience a roller coaster of emotions, the public being guided by the calm and authentic speech of Laura, who takes the time to transmit the values of her culture. A nomad firmly rooted in her time, a quiet force forging a place for herself at the heart of the contemporary Quebec musical landscape.

Révélation Radio-Canada 2024 and winner of the Francouvertes 2024, Soleil Launière is an Innu multidisciplinary artist from Mashteuiatsh. She unveiled her debut album, Taueu, in autumn 2023, exploring themes of language identity, femininity and matriarchy. On stage, with seasoned CHANCES musicians (Chloé Lacasse, Geneviève Toupin, Vincent Carré) and Simon Walls, she combines vocal harmonies and strong percussion with performance art. This intriguing and daring new soul-roots project transports the audience into a deep and gripping experience.

Violent Ground is a hip-hop rap duo made up of Christian and Allan Nabinacaboo, two brothers from the Naskapi Nation of Kawawachikamach, a small community in northeastern Quebec. With its blend of trap and R&B rhythms, electrifying melodies and gripping lyrics, the band's sound is a true musical force to be reckoned with. In fall 2023, they unveil their latest album Disarranged, produced in collaboration with Mattmac, Q-052, Melody McArthur and many others, exploring themes of identity, aboriginal realities, community addiction and colonial trauma.
