STOPOVERS
Community creative workshops, known as stopovers, are central to the organization's mission and represent the beginning of MN's service offering cycle. Stopovers provide an opportunity for artistic creation and exploration, while also providing initial exposure through the dissemination of recorded works. A profile on the Nikamowin platform is created for each artist.
The team, composed of Simon Walls, Christian Nabinacaboo (Naskapi), Sébastien Dubé (Mig'maq), Maude Séguin, and Joëlle Robillard, collaborates with artists on the creation and recording of their songs and musical pieces, as well as the production of video clips. In addition to the recording sessions, participating artists receive advice on songwriting, composition, and structure, adding instruments and arranging pieces, as well as on the purchase of recording equipment, recording methods, and the use of software (Cubase, Logic, and Pro Tools).
BOOKING
Musique Nomade builds a bridge between Indigenous communities and the Quebec and Canadian music industry, enabling Indigenous musicians to shine and benefit from the opportunities their talents deserve. In 2020, MN added the mandate of acting as a performance agency for Indigenous artists in Quebec to its activities. This area of activity focused primarily on the very first tours of Kanen, Laura Niquay and Anachnid, Q052, Soleil Launière, and now Eadsé, Dan-Georges Mckenzie, and Violent Ground. Nearly 600 shows have been presented throughout Quebec, Canada, and internationally (Chile, Colombia, France, Belgium) since the agency's creation.
LABEL
Every year, Musique Nomade releases several albums, EPs, singles, and music videos spanning a wide variety of musical styles. With an expanded team, Musique Nomade is intensifying its music production efforts by personalizing and deepening its professional support for artists. Musique Nomade is now also a record and production company, in addition to being a performance and promotion agency. MN is strengthening its ties with the music industry and making multiple representations in support of Indigenous artists.

CREATIONS
Musique Nomade offers opportunities for intercultural encounters and co-creation projects between Indigenous artists and artists of all backgrounds. The mix of genres and cultures offers rich experiences for artists. Musique Nomade therefore supports artists in their research and creation process. They can take the time to explore all avenues relevant to their artistic approach. This process allows artists to collaborate with mentors on writing, composition, co-production, and to draw inspiration from the desired rhythms. This often results in initial musical demos that will later serve as the basis for the production of a first album.
