BIOGRAPHY
Violent Ground is a hip-hop rap duo made up of brothers Christian and Allan Nabinacaboo, from the Naskapi Nation of Kawawachikamach, a small community in northeastern Quebec. Active on the music scene for several years, the duo has developed a powerful and distinctive sound, blending trap and R&B rhythms, electrifying melodies, and compelling lyricism.

In 2020, five years after releasing their debut album, Violent Ground unveiled Difference, their first studio album, produced by long-time collaborator Marlon Grant. The record reflects the trials and tribulations the group experienced over the years and addresses issues faced by Indigenous peoples, past and present, including land dispossession, mistreatment, bullying, daily struggles, and resilience. Difference also highlights the evolution of their artistry, maintaining their signature flow and intensity while embracing more melodic vocals and increasingly powerful messages.

In the fall of 2023, the duo released Disarranged, their most recent album, produced in collaboration with Mattmac, Q-052, Melody McArthur, and many others. Conceived as a journey through different stages of life, the album explores themes of identity crisis, trauma, injustice, addiction, and the lasting impacts of colonialism. Chaotic yet cohesive, Disarranged stands as a testament to perseverance and artistic growth.
On stage, Violent Ground delivers high-energy performances and a commanding presence, igniting crowds wherever they go and solidifying their reputation as a must-see live act.
