Temporary mandate - Marketing Label Manager

DESCRIPTION
For a temporary replacement position lasting a minimum of 4 to 8 weeks, the Label Marketing Manager is responsible for leading promotional efforts for the numerous music releases of the Musique Nomade (MN) label. Furthermore, the Label Marketing Manager contributes to MN's visibility by working closely with distributors, collaborators, and partner organizations. Applications from First Nations, Inuit, or Métis professionals are encouraged.
Main responsibilities

Orchestrate the marketing and promotional planning related to the Musique Nomade label's music releases:

Editorial calendar of releases ;

Marketing pitches to digital distributors ;

Promotional budgets ;

Press releases.

Maintain relationships with our digital distributor and digital platforms

Plan and coordinate public and media advertising campaigns

Prepare the necessary visual and graphic elements for music releases, then supervise and coordinate deliverables with external suppliers;

Manage the printing of CDs, vinyl records, and USB drives

Oversee press relations mandates with external collaborators;

Collaborate on social media promotion planning with the person responsible for digital promotion;

Represent Musique Nomade and its artists at networking events;

All other tasks related to label marketing.
Skills and abilities sought
-
A college or university degree in a relevant field, or equivalent professional experience;
-
A minimum of 1 to 3 years of professional experience in a similar role;

Extensive knowledge of the music industry and music distribution;

Knowledge of Indigenous communities;

Fluency in written and spoken French and English;

Excellent management and planning skills;
-
Rigorous, efficient, and methodical;
-
Autonomous and proactive.
Job conditions
● Schedule: 3-4 days / week
● Duration: Temporary mandate of 4 to 8 weeks
● Remuneration: To be discussed
● Workplace: 1208 Rue Beaubien Est, Montreal, in hybrid mode
● Start date: November 2025
